How it works it out
Your course grade is a weighted average of the grade you have now and the score you get on the final:
course grade = grade so far × (1 − final weight) + final score × final weight
So with 84% so far and a final worth 30%, scoring 80% on the final gives 84 × 0.7 + 80 × 0.3 = 82.8%, a B−. To find the score you need for a grade, it runs the same formula backwards: needed = (target − grade so far × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight. For an A (93%) in that course you would need 114% on the final, which is why the tool says “not reachable” instead of pretending.
Term GPA is the credit-weighted average of each course’s grade points. Add your GPA and credits from earlier terms, and it also shows your cumulative GPA after this term.
The grade scale it uses
This is the common US plus/minus 4.0 scale. Your school’s cutoffs may differ, so check your syllabus or registrar, and treat the result as a plan, not a transcript.

Why this tool has no AI in it
It doesn’t need any. Some study tools are arithmetic, and arithmetic should be exact, instant and private. On educagents the person who builds a tool also decides whether it uses a model at all, and what it costs. This one is free.
